S197 vs S550 crash compilations

I currently have a modded 08 GT500. The rear steps out all the time under boost, I just let off the gas pedal a sec and it straightens right up. Traction controls helps but will not correct stupidity at the power levels of today's Mustangs.

I think most just panic, keep on the gas and are more concerned about steering. That's unfortunately when the over steering sets in.

Back when it rained i CA a lot, I would take my Fox body out to a big parking lot and just learn what happens when the ass end steps out. Then learn to control it. Did the same thing S197 GT as well. Plan to do the same thing with the S550 if(when) it rains in CA again. Knowing the limits of your car is always a good thing, but practice where you can't hurt yourself or people, since we know all mustangs are vampires or werewolves since they have a taste for human flesh.

The Cheaper the Mustang (older models) the younger and dumber can now afford...

OR: Mustangs don't kill people...people being in the wrong spot like the verge or foot paths etc kill people....

I think after Mustang car shows "to be safe" the crowds should line the centre of the street? safest spot.


Oh and seriously, the S550 is the best out of the box handling Mustang and like others have said with all the electronic safety gear then naturally less will get too far out of shape...Anything is still possible in the wrong hands but the car will now remove a certain level of Dumb from the driver.
