Oh something else I just remembered, the godzilla has an 8 bolt flange on the crank just like the coyote, but has a 58 tooth reluctor wheel, whereas the coyote uses a 35 tooth wheel. You can have the coyote wheel redrilled to match the godzilla crank lining up the gap in the teeth or I've heard you can change the tune with HP tuners to make the coyote pcm read a 58 tooth wheel
So the question is going to be if the Gen 3 PCM can be loaded with a stock (base map) 7.3 tune. That would allow control of everything with no modifications.

You would have to disable the direct injection pump in the tune and just adjust the tune to accommodate the godzilla. The godzilla is port injection only, just like the gen 1 and 2 coyote. And either change the reluctor wheel to a 35 tooth or change the tune to accept a 58 tooth wheel.

BTW they claim that ford racing will have the megazilla out by the end of Q2 2023 and it makes 615 hp on pump gas and has forged internals upgraded cam with vct lockout and CNC ported heads and has the new low profile intake manifold to fit under the hood of a car.

Do the 7.3 swap and have some custom Boss 429 decals made but change the 429 to 7.3L or 445 and put them on the fender and you will have a modern boss 9 basically, and maybe even do a modern take of the classic boss 9 hood scoop that blends nicely with the S197

What is the weight of the Godzilla like compared to the Coyote?

Edit: Google says 580lbs Godzilla vs 420lbs Coyote? Holy crap if that's right that's gonna be a weight balance pain in the butt.

ford racing says the shipping weight is 737 lbs, but I've heard the engine itself weighs around 580

How the heck do you make up for that weight?
Tubular K member and radiator support could make up about half that.

Another thing to consider is that the Godzilla would be making about as much HP NA as a mild supercharged Coyote would be making. All the plumbing, supercharger, heat exchanger, etc would easily add up to 100lbs.

Yea there is a YouTube video where they take the weight of just the engine and it’s a bit under 580. The coyote is about 440. Wish there was an aluminum block available for the Godzilla.

Give it time, the way the godzilla is gaining in popularity someone will make one sooner or later.

Unless your going to build an ultimate track warrior where every pound counts for handling, who cares about the weight gain from a godzilla engine.

Hey zack, just so you know once the coyote fanboys/godzilla haters get wind of this, they will come here and over run this thread with their BS and try to convince you that a godzilla swap is a bad idea and give a thousand examples as to why. I myself would rather have a tq monster on the street over a high winding torque less wonder, and who cares about the weight penalty. Like I said before the coyote is better suited for a high rpm track warrior. If that is what you are after then stick with a coyote/predator. But if you are after a street car/occasional strip use car you would be happier with a godzilla.

I found this

And that is for the megazilla, you can go aftermarket and get over 700 hp/tq and still be N/A, try to get that much out of a N/A coyote. If you could, you would have a gutless wonder under 6K rpm which would suck on the street.
