rust already on rear brake calliper?

How normal is it for 1 of my rear brake calipers to already have rust on it? Car only has 500 miles on it, but is not garaged to exposed to rain and snow.

That doesn't seem like the actual caliper is rusted. Looks like rust dripped down with water from the rotor and settled at the bottom of the caliper. I bet it wipes right off with some rust remover.

Ordered some Permatex 81756 Rust Dissolver. Hope it cleans up easy.
