Can you do this? My local tracks are hard on the driver front. I can move it to the back but it would be nice to be able to run them backwards?

They will be fine in the dry, but a 'challenge' in any rain. Noise will probably increase the first few laps too.

Is there any reason to not run them backwards?

I don't think so with that particular tire. If they were asymmetrical then yes. Those are symmetrical so you should be OK.

Don't know if this is true or not

Local tire shop says not to run directional tire backwards at highway speed. Low speeds are fine. They're not designed to be loaded and run in the wrong direction and can fly apart.

Saw a guy at Gingerman running his tires back wards. Left me sort of scratching my head, but I never got around to asking him about it. He was quite quick and didn't appear to be having any handling issues. Can't remember the tire brand or model, but they were a track tire.

I've ran RS3 non-directional before and all good (different car). You might find slightly different handling characteristics, but shouldn't be and issue. Those are great tires and can hold up to a little wear/tear.

What size are you running? I have a brand new set of 275/35/19 that I've yet to mount up and anxious to run.
