I'll have mine tinted over with a Windshield Glare Strip Anyway. So it doesn't matter to me. Might paint it Black before tinting it though so the Tint doesn't make it stand out more.
i was thinking of a darker colour for a while and then i realised how much upkeep those colours require. my old FPV GT was silhouette (black with a slight blue tint) and it was super nice after a detail wax for a few days. living where i am now will not allow me to have this colour, basically i live on a dirt road :shrug:Ruby red is a gorgeous color...especially when it is outside in direct sunlight. It was my second color choice as I always felt red is a classic mustang color. I'm with the OP in that I prefer darker colors...especially black, guard, and magnetic. Once I saw Guard in person it was a done deal, but every now and then I see a beautiful ruby red and wonder if I made the right choice.![]()

And on the rear hatch. Looked fine. The 93 cobra grille with the mini pony was the best look though. A popular cosmetic mod that I had was the cobra grille insertt kit which was paintable and took just a few minutes to install, as long as you didn't mind cutting out that blue oval from the plastic bumper.1993 Ford Mustang GT. Blue Oval on Grille.![]()

Yeah.. No... It doesn't look too fine to me anyway. That Ford logo is a dud and has no place on a Mustang. There is a reason they removed it for the last generation. Blue oval logo = stodgy old Ford econobox. Thats honestly the impression a lot of the younger set like me have. The Mustang logos are so well known they need no blue oval. It isnt a Ford first, its always a Mustang first. The very fact that it has no make on the rear end (Ford) not even a model name (Mustang) and just says GT and yet every single person you meet virtually will say "nice Mustang" (not Nice Ford) should tell you the power of the Mustang brand
Oh yes , Ruby Red has the " Look back after you park it" effect. I still think to myself every time, "Damn that's a good looking car". I would describe the paint as Fluid...I remember a particular time, going to the store right after I washed mine. I looked back and all I saw was a vivid red that emanated from the car. The way the sun hit it just eliminated everything from view except beautiful, sparkling red. Maybe reactive is a good word. Either way, breathtaking when clean and waxed.Ruby red is a gorgeous color...especially when it is outside in direct sunlight. That was Me.I'm not arguing that it necessarily should be on the car, but that it has been on the car. Look earlier in the thread, somebody says that a Ford logo has never appeared on the exterior of a Mustang. It's not true. (Even with the make on the rear end:)![]()
Mustangs had Ford Logos On the Outside from 1979-2004. It was Corporate Policy that All Ford Vehicles have a Blue Oval on the Trunk from 1989-2004.
