So I have seen a few threads about RPMs hanging around the 1-2k mark for a while when changing gears. Im having an issue similar but not the same. Regardless of sport mode or regular driving modes if I push the clutch in my RPMs hang at about 2000-2500 until I release the clutch. What is odd is the fact that when I release the clutch it drops to normal immediately. At first I thought this might be normal for a PP car, but after reading a similar thread on another forum it can be related to injector issues. Anybody else with a PP ever experience this?

You sure it's not the "rev hang" feature that tries to hold rpm while you shift into the next gear?

Yeah, sounds like the "rev hang" feature of smooth upshifts.

I have a V6 and the RPM hang is something fierce! I'm talking north of 4 grand when I shift it takes a solid 1-1.5 seconds before the RPMs even start to drop at all so I have to wait before I can ease out the clutch. Otherwise engaging the clutch drags the RPMs back down to where they should have properly decelerated to.

Is this curable with a tune? I haven't seen such egregious behavior from an EB or GT.

I do not love the rev hang. I would like to be able to shift a bit more quickly than a 1 to 1.5 sec. What is the problem with revs dropping as fast as the engine would let them? Do people in general want to shift that slow? I'd rather shift and be safely in gear sooner rather than later.
