Im about to change my oil on my 5.0. What do you guys think about the Royal Purple XPR?

I dont think it matters as long as it isnt basic oil.. they use synthetic blend from factory.. I normally use amsoil but i believe any full synthetic will be good. change based on use.

I just used Pennzoil Ultra Platinum full synthetic 5w-20 in my car not long ago. Always great reviews on that stuff and Amazon has rebates on it. First oil change since I owned the car at 6400 miles! Oil life was nearing 50%.

If you're stock use Royal Purple 5W20 HPS. I'd still use it if they made a 5W50 the last time I bought oil.

i mean you dont have to get fancy with the oil.. factory recommended is 5w20 blend and for track use 5w30 full syn. to me middle ground might be 5w20 full syn. i suspect "track use" means if you go to a road course. not a few dashes down the 1/4 or highway

Everyone use the purple stuff if you want. I lost a lifter in a solid roller application on a big block Chevy on my airboat. That was on the third ride after oil change. Plenty of oil, good pressure. Trashed that cam and lifter bore. I will never run it in anything I own.
Valvoline VR1 in flat tappet off road application.
Pennsoil platinum in my cars and truck.

im honestly looking at mobil 1. never seen a bad review it meets factory standards and is probably as good as anything else

its good ive used it in all my previous coyotes. but like i said ive been debating about going cheap as im starting to believe most are good.
