Videos with actual SPL data would have to be back-to-back among all the exhausts measured so that the technique is constant. You know, like "park the car on these marks" while the microphone position and recording equipment remains constant.

BTW, @UOP_Shadow is your member name a throwback to the Can-Am glory days?

Stainless works did a very good video comparing 3 of their setups to stock. They had data showing exhaust volume levels measured decibels of all 4. I will try to link the video.

Yes. My dad worked there & we went to quite a few of the races to watch the Shadow Racing Team.

Awesome! What year was that?
My member name is more general in nature. GTP for GT Prototype, or GT Philip.

He worked there from the 50s to the late 90s. I was a grade schooler during those Can-Am years & didn't really understand just how ground-breaking those years were for fuel & aero development.

Yeah. I read Mark Donohue's book Unfair Advantage, and chuckled at how big of deal it was in the 60's for him and Roger Penske to go faster than the TransAm competition simply from choice of oversize tires not intended for their Camaro. Ultimately he ended up in this:

Heard the Roush quads on a stage 2 today. I'm in love. A little louder than I prefer but I'll have to learn to live with it. Best low rumble with no raspy growl.

Did you hear them with a stock resonator or aftermarket H/X pipe?

Also, they might be pretty loud but at least the quads have the block off plate so you can decide yourself how loud you want it.

Don't know if you're still deciding or not, but I took a quick vid the other day for fun of my Steeda axle backs:

I'm coming from a 2013 GT500. I want a low rumble as close to that as possible. The Roush quads are the closest to that sound without raspiness when you step on the gas.

Anyone have any experience or thoughts on the Roush Quad exhaust + X-pipe in touring mode (blocking plate in)? How loud would that be?

I test drove a Roush SC car twice. It had active exhaust. When the knob was in mellow mode, it was as quiet as the stock exhaust. I liked this exhaust bc there are 3 or 4 settings.

This is the ultimate solution for me, but I can't justify the cost.

Stock resonators on a Roush stage 2 car. It sounded beastly.
