I had an Airraid CAI in my 2012 v6 and it sounded awesome. But, I am also concerned about the closed design on the CAI for the s550. Perhaps, Roush might be the way to go this time around?
What's wrong with the closed design of the Airaid? Isn't it supposed to be better because it gets all the air from outside as opposed to sometimes from under the hood where the air is warmer?

To be honest, i don't know the dynamics behind it. I was only referring to the sound. I may be wrong though. I haven't personally experienced either intake in the s550 yet. I'm still waiting on mine (march/april).

Could you tell me more about the warm air under the hood thing?

Colder air, higher oxygen ratio, better explosion, better performance.
Air under the hood should be warmer than air from the outside.

I'll report back with IAT comparisons between stock airbox and the Roush, theoretically they should be higher due to the open box design, if they are the same or less then the seal at the top essentially turns it into a closed box when making contact with the hood.
