It depends on what you mean by a ton. A ton to me when comparing kits would be 30-50. And in the grand picture 50whp for 1000 dollars is a great deal. The main reason I say go that route is because a tune from Lund or PBD will pick up quite a bit more power with the supplied mods list.
Right, but with VMPs 767 kit it comes with a tune, just not PBD or Lund. So is PBD or Lund tunes drastically better then VMP to justify spending the extra $1000 on what I pieced together and gamble I’d make that extra 50ish RWHP or would I end up making close to what VMPs kit is and have spent $1000 for nothing really.

Yeah thats taking into account the base tune provided with the kit. a full custom tune from PBD or Lund is going to pick up a bit more power over a canned tune as there are multiple revisions that alter driveability and maximize as much as they can. Just my opinion on it though.

Oh ok, from my understanding I thought VMP sent out one of their custom tunes with it. Makes sense now.

You do get a Level 3 Custom Tune included with the VMP 767 kit. Too much misinformation gets put out on these forums. You don’t need to get a tune elsewhere.

Will VMP data log and adjust the tune based off of YOUR car? This I don’t know. Ask VMP if it includes the data log and revisions. If it does, there’s your answer. If it’s a ā€œone size fits allā€ tune from VMP then Lund or PBD will make a difference for sure.

Yes they have you data log the car and send it in and make the necessary revisions.

VMP 767 hp kit, TSP LTH off-road midpipe, JLT CAI, 6R80 Made 671 whp on 93.
Did you have to data log and get revisions with that kit or was it pretty much spot on?

It was spot on no need to go back and forth, after doing it I would add the IAT2 kit if you Haven’t already added that.
What size is your pulley? I believe mine is the 80 mm pulley that comes with the phase 2 roush.

I’m running a K2 79mm pulley, seems to be better built than the VMP pulleys.

I am actually selling my car and have a ton of left over brand new suspension parts as well as a new VMP Triple pass H/E, pump, Ice Tank and Mishimoto Expansion tank, Griptec 75mm pulley, VMP Locked Nguage too if you are interested send me a PM.

I would have bought the H/E. I already bought it 2 months and have it sitting in my garage waiting to install.

Question about the 767 kit with 56 LB injectors. I was doing the install today. Initiallly I thought the injector height adapters went on the top of the injectors. Now that I took out the old ones it looks like the adapter has to go on the bottom where it connects to the engine.
