Peak power is at 6850, they start limiting above that because of fuel. 627 had more fuel capacity. Check the dyno sheets from Roush and others, 6850 peaks then it flat lines. Actual full cut is 7400.

Thats why bigger injectors and Lund tune really make big difference.

47lb/hr are really small injectors, especially when fuel psi drops.

Stupid question but if you go with bigger injectors does the car have to be retuned?

Yes but it's well worth it, you can make so much more power on these S550's. If you don't have the powertrain warranty, then a Lund tune from Lethal, smaller pulley and bigger injectors will make the car a totally different animal. If you have the 627 you are giving up 100 easy HP.

Ah We are talking two different things. One is peak HP and I am talking about fuel cut off.

I do have warranty my blower just got installed at the dealer on Saturday should be picking up car on Monday. So I'm going to go roll with my warranty for a while. My fastest car was a 2004 supercharged Mach 1 around 550hp. So once I get used to this and if I get bored I might just do that.

Congratulations man! You will love it!! The phase 1 670 tune is plenty enough for you for now. Hell, I went 10.8's on street tires on my phase 1 only setup, right off the dealership floor!!

I think so too. I'm pushing 270lbs and not quite the driver you are but I would be super happy with mid 11'5

Phase 2 comes with the BAP, and oddly enough an extra 100HP (approximate I'm sure). So when you're ready you can go to the 727 or likely even phase 3 which should be coming out which I'm sure will include injectors. Great to have options!

I'll make you a deal you can't pass up and then you can let everyone know the real difference :)

Not sure what real difference were talking about, performance, horsepower,? quality, customer service? 670 horse is 670horse, 727, is 727. The difference comes delivering the power to the ground. Roush, Wipple, VMP, Pro Charger, they are all good. Price wise you're all about the same unit to unit. As far at the member you're quoting, I never look at just " 1" bad review on my decision process. I'm sure Whipple and the rest have had that customer for what ever reason just wasn't going to be happy no matter what the reason. But for the Whipple guys that say " Roush sucks because I might want to return to stock",,,,, I always laugh at that! Especially when they talk about parting out to sell, I've tried to sell some of the stuff I've taken off. I might as well give it to them, it usually cost me $ just to ship it to them.

The horsepower that you are referring to is flywheel HP, not to the wheels. It's a marketing ploy to make it sound like you are getting more than you really are.

Every car available for brand new purchase is crank rated. All new car companies use this measure of HP for marketing purposes.

Exactly, does it really matter who's F I system you're using HP is HP. IMO they are all good. I just didn't understand the "show you the difference"

I want to expand that thought. Roush , Whipple , Pro Charge they all advertise crank HP. But agin it's how the individual gets it to the Rear wheels the ground and hook up) efficiently as possible is the difference. That has nothing to do with brand. Yes they all have some minor differences in their tunes most of which unless you're a professional driver would never realize.
