I looked at several videos on the MBRP Streets amd there's no mention of drone on any of them. One even had responses to questions a few years after install and the original video posted.........and still no mention of drone. He even said he still loves them.
Pheewwwww good thing......they arrive tomorrow!
The street is better with drone, Race version sucks... I can even paste and copy what MBRP replied to my "complaint" -

"when we say Race we mean it

yes this system was made for the track with your foot on the throttle all the time this system is amazing

You are correct on the 65mph and your engine is luging along at 1500rpm or less the race system will have some drone , some customer have learned to drive in 5th keeping the rpm up a little to have a little less drone "

This is how you know you're dealing with a company that is making lots of money. What gets me frosty about it is the employee who responded is just a regular person like us, but they adopted this holier than thou attitude because there's nothing we can do about it  Is it asking too much that we all just treat each other with a bit of respect lol

Exactly, after my experience and them saying to drive in 5th gear to minimize the drone... I said F*** MBRP, I will never buy it again :)

Which MBRP exhaust did you go with? I looked at them for a minute but I didn't want to roll the dice on the brand since I don't know much about them, and couldn't find any video examples of their exhausts that really impressed me. Employees of a company are generally going to act in its best interest, because they want to stay employed. Hopefully that means they treat customers with respect but that isn't always the case.

I've had a Borla S-type cat-back, and would definitely do that again. I wanted to try the Roush cat-back and couldn't pass up the price. I'm enjoying it, but it is really loud. My neighbors probably don't like it as much as I do.

I had the MBRP Race and it was obnoxious with the drone. If I would be you, I would look into AWE Touring, nice deep rumble, not too loud. Definitely not as loud as my Roush I have now :)

I have a Roush now, and I'll probably go back to Borla for my next exhaust

I went with MBRPs street version (MBRP XP Series), AM video link below. I think they sound great for the money! **EDIT** Sound clips at 6:02:

A lot of manufacturers/companies are feeling the pain of Covid. This has been happening for the last few months and not sure when we will see things go back to normal in the future. Everyone is doing their best to get back to running smoothly.
Hey Blake,
I hope you don't think I was throwing you guys any shade. I don't blame you in any way. COVID is screwing everything and everyone up for sure.
The saga continues.....I ended up buying an MBRP system from American Muscle and paid $175 for 2-day shipping, to arrive before 9PM last night. 11PM no exhaust. Call UPS, their automated system tells me my shipment is "on time and will arrive by 9PM" LMAO. I sign up for the auto update feature. 8:30 this morning, text says it'll arrive by 6PM Monday. At least AM is refunding my expedited shipping fee, but no cool exhaust notes for me this weekend.

That's a real bummer man, I hate when shipping gets messed up. Good luck with your install next week! Post some vid when you get it in there!

You ain't wrong, MBRP has a deep sound. But sadly I had a MBRP Race Cat-back on my 2015 GT and the drone was unbelievable, you could not drive on the highway. Literally ears hurt. Changed to a Roush and was great, that's why I got the Roush for my 2019 GT as well. I was thinking about the low deep tone and my choice would be AWE Touring. They sound amazing and are produced 25 mins away from my house. So I hear a lot of them at car shows. I even drove with my buddy to check how it sounds at highway speeds and I must say, zero drone. Roush has a little but you can't notice it until you listen carefully.
I do not want to make you think twice about MBRP , this is just my experience.
But look into AWE Touring :D

Best,
Agreed, this exhaust came on my car when I purchased it. Just indiscriminately spews noise and the quality wasn't great (no where near OEM quality).

I switched to the FP by Borla sport.

MBRP's are cheap and you really get what you pay for.

Did you have the race version too, or street?

I bought a Roush catback from Summit Racing a couple of weeks ago. They price-matched Levittown Ford Parts too which was pretty awesome since LFP had the best price around, but was back-ordered 6 weeks.

Super easy to install and sounds amazing. Very loud!
Summit racing are great I ordered my Atak from American Muscle after a week they told me it's out of stock... canceled with them went to summit and it was here within the week.

What'd you expect from a 3" catback ? No drone ? Little drone ? At lowish rpm ? Ain't happening bud. Next time pick a system that meets your needs for your driving habits. Myself I went with the SLP Loudmouth II cause I like fast n quite. Zero drone, zero rasp at any RPM.

Are you one of the "youtube listeners"? I got the MBRP for cheap so no worries, sold it for more than I paid. Had a Corsa extreme, too raspy for me but really nice. Settled for a Roush on my 2015 and another Roush on my 2019 PP2. If that ain't -" Next time pick a system that meets your needs for your driving habits" I don't know what is...
My expectation is, no drone like the MBRP has, I've never heard anything as bad as the Race Version (well, maybe a "straight pipe" that has welded in a garage) I understand a little drone, but not a situation that you can't have a conversation with windows up.
