Roush Aftermarket Scoop warning

I bought some 3M VHB tape, very strong stuff, to retape the corners with, I figured that stuff would hold it down. Unfortunately I actually can't get the scoop off. After taking all the bolts off, the tape in the middle is so strong that I feel like I'm either going to break the scoop or bend my hood. So I guess it's staying the way it is. My only other thought is to measure, and drill a self tapping screw from the underside into each back corner of the scoop to hold it down.

I contacted Roush directly about mine... They kinda blew me off and said to take it to my dealership and have them contact Roush warranty dept...

Anyone have a direct contact info to Roush warranty dept.?

Love the picture, the car, the color, the hood scoop, etc. I sent a picture of all the things that my Roush hood scoop came with directly to Roush, and they confirmed that I have the kit necessary to prevent the issue the OP mentioned.

Seeing your picture just makes me that more anxious to get it installed.

Call them. They will send you a bolt kit thstvgreatvon the rear. Nothing for the front yet though.

Honestly there's nothing they can do to remedy this its just a bad design and material. the only way to fix this is to redevelop the scoop in a stronger material and give it to those who are affected or provide a new hood/ refund. Hopefully the Roush dealer will do this.

I've had mine for about a week thus far and daily spirited driving. No issues thus far, and a Roush customer service rep confirmed that my installation kit included the necessary parts to fix the issues that others have been experiencing.

So apparently I can't just get the hardware kit, and the only two Roush dealers are 30 miles away from me in opposite directions. And I am not driving 30 miles so they can look at it, and either A) Say sorry you installed it wrong your fault we're not touching it, or B) Okay, we'll order the parts, come back in a week.

That's very strange. I would think that Roush would send you a kit regardless if you were experiencing issues or not. Should be a no brainer, especially since it should have had it in the first place.
