I think the window treatment will be great. .the side scoops are straight on as well..I believe Roush even can paint them to match and shipI want to add the rear window cover and side scopes behind the doors.

Modern mustang designs made the Foose scoop and kit..most of their stuff is sold by americanmuscle.com...iI think the scoop is a one off for the 2015 mustang...i have not seen it for sale yet.Where can you buy the Foose scoop?
It is bolted down, with 10 bolts.
The only thing that I can think is that the scoop was originally manufactured flat and they molded it to the curvature of the hood later. When it cools down it pulls up off the hood on the corners where there are no bolts. I have installed 3 of them, they all did the same thing. I finally removed all the tape so when it flexes up its less noticeable
I should have asked here instead. Am I missing something? From the picture though, it looks like the hood scoop is just taped down? I thought the hood scoop required drilling holes to tighten it down so that it's not relying on just tape?
I have my hood scoop sitting like 10 minutes away and I was going to a shop Thursday to have it installed. Not going to continue though until someone can clarify some details about my questions. I'm a little confused.
EDIT: Sorry for the double post. OP's answer below:
Hmm cool. Good point. I heard that mine shouldn't have that problem since I just received it, but I'm still a bit concerned. Looking around at some different aftermarket hoods myself nowAltjx...the hood is bolted down and then you use double sided tape to hold the corner edge
down..the tape is where issues arise
If I had to do it again I would just buy an after market ram air hood and then have it painted. My body guy did a good job but I had to take it back because of paint imperfections.he removed and fixed the paint but now I noticed corner edges are coming up...i don't blame him because I bought the scoop used but unpainted but everything was intact.. i even had template and instructions...he could probably remove and replace tape but that would mean a few days down time..I used a small shop.
I love the look of the Roush but I think Dr body kit has a ram air hood for 800.might go that way.
Bottom line is I am 50/50 on the endorsement..but that tape crap...shaking head:doh:
They got any plans of sharing that with current owners with issues?it's fixed now they released an updated method.
Thanks for the update Khyber I will check their site for updated instructions. It is a really sharp looking piece but that 3M tape is worrisome.it's fixed now they released an updated method.
These are both the same link. Curious to see the other hood that you meant to link. Thanks for the update Khyber I will check their site for updated instructions. It is a really sharp looking piece but that 3M tape is worrisome.
