I currently have Roush axle backs on my car and kind of want a different sound. I really like the "exotic" sound of the Corsa's and I'm leaning towards the Corsa sport catback. I was wondering if anyone has heard both the Corsa Sport and the Roush AB's (with stock resonator) in person and can comment on the volume difference since it's really hard to tell in videos. I like the tone of the Corsa's but don't want something that is going to be quieter than the Roush's.

Roush is louder. Corsa Sport has a decent volume, but gets louder once you get on it. If you have any plans for headers at all, stick with the Corsa Sport. Another advantage is moving to the Corsa system that's a full 3" which should have some better flow as you upgrade the rest of the exhaust.

The Roush AB with headers is pretty obnoxious. The Corsa Extreme on a stock exhaust sounds really good with a lot of volume, but it can get extremely loud with headers as well. It's very raspy too.

I don't think I will ever end up doing headers. If you're saying Corsa Sport is quieter than Roush AB's then maybe I should just get some Xtreme's and be done with it. I don't really wanna go to something quieter.

Thanks for the input!

Roush + X-pipe is as loud as Xtreme catback. The tone makes them perceive different volume. Both are straight through mufflers with nothing that significantly attenuates sound, only modifies frequency content.

Corsa Sport catback will be a touch louder than the Roush AB + resonator, but will have a much more racy tone.

Interesting...

Are you still in Naperville? That's like 20 minutes from me. I'd love to hear the Sport in person and compare to my Roush.
