Still not found the sound you are looking for?

Man I feel for you, you've tried so many exhausts!

I just want the damn bus to go away. I do like the note that the new combo has. I have thought about it a lot today. over two different headers and like 5 diff catbacks the only thing that has remained the same has been that it's always been catless. this leads me to think that all those catbacks having a raspy buz may not be any fault of the catback themselves, but instead perhaps that it's catless...

When you refer to the buzzing is it that low pitch buzz that causes the whole car to vibrate at low cruising rpm?

no, it's when shifting like normal at about 3k. something I might do is see if I can get a custom h pipe made. but what size pipe should the connection be linking the two pipes to make it an h. 2.5 or 3

Being catless can be a likely culprit. I never really like going catless because it makes exhaust even louder and does add that rasp. I know in the import world when cars are catless they get a higher pitch note than the one they have already. Also these new 5.0's aren't like the older ones. These are high revving V8's.
People say the ARH catbck is deep. It is but it has chambered mufflers which will sound deeper. Not as free flowing as a straight through muffler.

so the corsa still has a better flow to ARH CB? though I understand it would be negligible

The hypermotive video of the ARH and Corsa combo sounded insanely good from both outside the car and inside the cabin.

Is the real life sound much different than the video sound?

I don't think so. To me it sounds pretty close from being in the car to the video.

I have the corsa sports. Although I like the sound I get a rattle sound at wot. If I stay part throttle it's very crisp.

I will vouch for cat less long tubes. In all my cases it has been very crude and loud with some rasp. I always end up adding cats. They act like a resonator by cleaning up the sound however you do lose some decibels.

One more point I will make. Not all cats are created equal. Some are ceramic and some are metallic and the cell count varies as well.
