You are overthinking this. Unless someone intentionally took a hammer and pounded a nail into your tire, no one is responsible for this repair except you. Plug/patch, done. Seriously, contemplating going after someone's permit over this... who is the a-hole. Not trying to be a jerk but put yourself in their shoes.
Agreed. I mean if I run over my neighbors curb and slice my tire should I have him pay for it. Think of the repercussions if you go after this guy and then he throws a whole bag of Nails in your driveway, or worse.

Another person who thinks someone who does a shitty job should be pat on the back? Amazing. I didn't see a nail in the road and aim for it. If you run over your neighbors curb, it's your crappy driving that caused it.

Regardless... you didn't read the thread. The tire has been paid for by the roofer, who found additional nails in the road on inspection.

So an idiot contractor is one who does the right thing and compensates others that incur damages due to negligence? Where do you draw the line? If something falls off a work truck in front of you and smashes into the front of your car, you'll just eat it? Let me know when that day comes so we can have a laugh over it. I really don't think you're making any sense at all.

You're not going to get through to him.
