rolling forward

i may have posted this before i couldn't find the thread

when i press the clutch in all the way down and put it in first gear ( or any gear really ) there's a slight amount of resistance. i feel the driveshaft spin or lose slack i guess, and the car moves forward ever so slightly. if i take it out of gear and put it back in. it doesn't do it again.

normal? not normal?

Normal. If you take it out of gear AND let the clutch out you will likely it find it does the same thing again. It is more noticeable cold.
