No Forward or Reverse gears

This is from last Wednesday night...On launch the car felt decent (1.57 60') then at about the 1000' mark the car began to vibrate quite a bit and power plateaued, meaning it was no longer pulling like it was. By the time I got the car slowed down and was turning down the return road I could begin to hear all these grinding noises from the trans area (wind, road noise, exhaust are all loud). At this point, car was still coasting slowly so I went to give it a little throttle to get it off the road and car wouldn't accelerate.

Long story short, no forward gears even if I try and manually select them to which it automatically returns to 1st gear on its own. Same with reverse, it's not there. Same sounds are heard whether it's forward or reverse. No DTC codes showed up. For what it's worth, when pushing the car, I hear no new drivetrain noise.

I have thoughts on what it could be but I'm interested to hear if others have had similar failures and what the culprit was. This is a 10r80 car.

10r80 get a stage 2 rebuild from Midnight Performance. 6r80 get a stage2 exedy rebuild from Brett LaSala. Google is now your friend!

Looking more for a potential culprit as I haven't had a chance to pull the transmission yet. Google failed to provide any of that information wise guy.

Brett or Manuel will likely be the go to if I decide not to fix it myself along with clutches/machining.

I went with Brett Lasala on a stage2 exedy 6r80 build to 1000 hp capability. Trans is stout now. My Procharger D1x wore out the stock clutches out pretty fast. There are limits with the current clutch packs for the 10r80, and so far the guys @ midnight performance are one of few guys that turn consistent 7’s in the 1/4 mile with their stage 3 built 10r80.
