Didn't really notice this b4 , maybe just not paying attention , but when I press the clutch pedal in while the car is in neutral , it moves forward slightly . Is that normal ? 17 GT if that matters . Thanks .

when clutch it is in, your car SHOULD NOT MOVE. if it is, its rubbing that Der clutch. isn't completely off friction zone. it should be fully disengaged

someone correct me if wrong, but if it isn't fully dis engaged, then you are wearing down friction plates. no way around it, your car should not move. idk how it could. on my sport bike, when that happens, I either have to adjust the clutch cable, or re adjust the clutch parts itself/or whatever. not sure if you can do that on a car

Haha my bad. Holding the clutch in the putting it into gear it moves forward slightly. Can't believe I forgot that part 🙄

Pretty much every car I've ever owned did what you're describing. If you're sitting at a light idling with the clutch out, and you press the clutch and immediately engage first, everything that spinning inside the transmission has to come to an abrupt stop against the driven gears. That kinetic energy has to go somewhere, and in this case, it goes through the transmission and out to the wheels, moving the vehicle slightly. When the transmission fluid is very very cold, this is exaggerated. To test for a clutch issue, press the clutch all the way to the floor and wait a few seconds before engaging first. If you still get movement, your clutch is dragging.

Went to the track yesterday and was running personal bests all day. Consistent 1.6x 60s. 7700 rpm shifts. 9 runs in total. So safe to say the factory clutch / pressure plate wasn't the problem. Put the car up on lifts today couldn't see any leaks. Problem lies elsewhere. Helper spring binding perhaps.
