So, this forum, and others, are great information resources - telling us what we need to know to order our cars, get them on time (hopefully), and drive them well. They are also great social hubs for organising meets as well as for simply anticipating the joys of ownership (I suspect the majority here are still ones without Mustangs rather than ones with Mustangs - perhaps Iām wrong by now).
A lot of the vital information on here can make one anxious though (car size, tyre grip, build quality etc), and apart from the joys of taking possession, first impressions, and doing mods, some might take us for a bunch of worriers. Yet, while forums are here to alleviate worries, I thought Iād start a thread of information dedicated to joy. Itās a bit frivolous, but what Iād like to know is where people are going to get most joy when driving their Mustang, and what music may accompany them.
The rules are simple: two tracks and two roads - thatās it. If people find this of interest, we might end up with a nationwide resource for getting the āthrill of Mustang drivingā right.
So, to begin: Iām in Hampshire/Surrey area (like a few others) and my two roads have to be:
1. the A3 through the Hindhead Tunnel - the longest road tunnel in the UK, and at full speed too. And the track: Van Halen, āWhy Canāt this Be Love?ā (Sammy Hagar vocal) - showing my age
2. The South Harting Road (B2141) south through the South Downs (over in Sussex, but in the vicinity). And the track has to be Rainbow, āSince Youāve Been Goneā. Sad, I knowā¦.
