while I wait for mine and read, it s interesting to see that some use fuel from 87 and on up. I know the ECU will adjust the timing for the fuel and prevent engine damage. I was afraid to mention that where I live I ll sometimes be using 87. Looks like some pretty good mileage reported!

BTW, will a Mach 1 be about the same?

In the same vein—I'm also doing a roadtrip (I suppose more a rally) from Georgia to Texas come October. I currently still have the factory Pirelli P Zero Nero run-flat tires on my car, but had thought to get a set of Michelin PS4's before hitting the long road west. I'll definitely be getting a spare tire kit—not playing with that fix-a-flat noise in the event of a puncture hundreds of miles from home.

What's y'all's opinion? Make the change before roadtrippin'?

I vote for the Michelin’s - depending on sizes they have been tough to source in some areas.

I agree the PS4S provides a better grip compared to P Zero Nero.

Yeah, fortunately I know they're stocked / sold at a local shop.

Oh yeah. But I'm not so much worried about grip in terms of roadtrip—that's just an additional perk. I'm looking at this from a reliability / replace...ability? if necessary, standpoint. RFT's, from what I understand, can't be patched no? This is the first car I've owned with them, and I've generally heard nothing. Good. Hah.

Yep. The P Zero and the P Zero Nero are both runflats. Ford swapped to them, I think in the Gen 3 / 2018 refresh?

Either way, not something I'm keen to test 500 miles away in Mississippi...

I found a complete spare kit locally for $80.
Hope I don’t need it.
