I got some rinseless wash a while back and have yet to get the nerve to try it as intended. My past couple washes I misxed some in a spray bottle and shot the car down as a pre wash and it might have helped. I'm not positive.

How dirty is too dirty for rinseless wash? And do I just mix per the instructions and apply the stuff with my mitt (and rinse the mitt with clean water regularly) as I would normally do, then wipe the sections off with a MF towel? I know it says it bonds to dirt but in my mind I can just picture the dirt being dragged across the paint when I wipe it clean. Right now the car is more of a lightly dusty dirty and I won't feel as paranoid.

I though you just spray on and wipe off with a MF towel but I could be wrong.
Of course you don't want to do it on a very dirty car but more like a lightly dusted car.
The polymer is supposed to attach to the debris so it will not scratch the paint.

I only use a rinseless wash if the car is pretty clean. For example it rained and the car just had some water spots.

The trick is to use fresh MF for every pass. Fold the towel in sections and use a different section every pass.

I have a black car and have used both ultima and optimum no rinse. I only use it when it is a light dusting on the vehicle as you said. So far no adverse effects, but if the paint is more soiled Ill do a regular wash. and finish with the ultima. Ive seen people do it on a more heavily soiled car, but with black paint, I just dont feel comfortable.

With it mostly just being dusty can I just spray it on then wipe off (as one of you mentioned)? I thought it needed to be scrubbed a little bit. In the videos I've seen people use a mitt and bucket.

If you have it mixed as a detail spray then yes, that's what I do. As said above, just be sure to use a clean section of towel. The other method with a bucket that I've seen are when diluting it as a regular car wash soap, and they are soaking many clean towels in the bucket. Then they can use multiple towels to wipe down the surface, and do a quick final buff with another MF.

I use the big red sponge and a bucket with my onr, but I also like to put some mix in a spray bottle and pretreat the area just to make me feel better about wiping a dirty dry car lol. Always use light pressure and flip/clean the mitt after every pass. If the car is filthy, I'll wash it the traditional way, but I've seen videos of caked cars being done.
