Lovin this thread. Everyone in this silly mess has done some kind of visual mod to their car that they think looks cool. Seriously some of the vinyl stripes they run down the hood and sides of their cars. then complain because someone else adds a scoop or tint???

If you don't like fake scoops, then you don't like fake scoops -- I don't. I personally think it is the biggest mistake with the new Roush, especially the terrible hood scoop. But is that stuff really "ricey"? I mean, it is certainly disappointing you pay so much for a car like the Roush and they can't even put a REAL hood on it, but Ford/Shelby have been putting fake scoops and "look fast" parts on Mustangs well before there were any modded imports in this country. So I guess the domestics really started the "rice" trend, no?

At the end of the day, people aren't really doing anything they haven't done before. Yet...

Just wait until these cars start getting "stanced". Then we may be trending in a different direction. And now that the Mustang has IRS, its going to happen. Who is excited for excess camber, poor handling, lack of traction, bad braking -- making the car crappier in general for the sake of looking like you car has broken suspension and axles?

You will know it has become a trend when you start hearing words like "poke", "tuck", "stretch", and guys talking about their car being in the shop getting the new camber plates installed and the camber being dialed in at -4*, their 225s being mounted on their 10" wide wheels, and the welder finishing up the skid-plates.

Id rather have the cloth seats in this particular car and yes my mini screen sucks. You have scoops though lololol
And you have red rings around your wheels. Honda guys love that! Pretty sure the ricers started that trend. You seam like your getting angry, now.:D

s197 roush had fake scoops and fake hood scoop too. so it's no different....did people call the 11-14's rs2 and rs3 rice though on s197 forums? Wasn't apart of them so legitimate question.

Dont even go there....

People surely wouldn't do that to a Mustang? Grab your pitchforks and flames.....the Vtec Brigade are getting ready to mess up some muscle.

Yep, and so did the Saleen's. No one called them "rice" that I ever saw. Not sure why they are now, especially when we have been getting fake scoops since the 60's. To not like them is one thing, but they are hardly "rice".
