RHD 2016 Mustang Heading for export (Pics)

It's not the handbrake that bothers me, it's more the cup holders being in the way of the gear stick if you have a bottle of water or just want to lean your arm on the "arm rest" oh wait you can't because your elbow will be in the cup holder lol

You know - I agree with this.. if Ford just moved the cup holders towards the passenger side - even just in the middle - it would make it much better.

I can live with the handbrake next to the passenger as you only use it now and again.

Yeah, we get the PP with auto (minus Torsen diff)



But we also get:



Horrible clear rear lights

No front gill LED DRLs

Dumbo mirrors

No RHD centre console (not that I'd have drinks in my car, but the cupholders are useless for cups in this one!).....and the handbrake is a reach!

When you end up getting yours, i trade you my taillights and pay shipping for both sets!

Right hand drive is so odd...so so odd.

I learned to drive whilst living in the Bahamas. Left side of the road, but 90% of the cars were left hand drive. Was ok until you had to pass someone. There was lots of leaning, and questioning passengers as to "is is clear"

Was sold on right hand drive when driving on the left.

That's how they are for the RHD Mustang. Lots of discussion about this already in the UK and Aussie areas. Mustang is not alone in having the park brake and cup holders on the wrong side.

It's interesting , I've been looking at window stickers lately and this cars sticker clearly said in the bottom right corner, export only IN, meaning India. we should have got this. We all missed it and later we found out it went to India. But importantly if anyone sees a window sticker that says EXPORT ONLY AU or AUS, then post it so we can all see what Aussie ones will look like. The uk cars say EXPORT ONLY UK, the Canada cars say ford.Ca. So surely Australia says AU. Better late than never.
The full window sticker also says 3.55 diff.

That's how they are for the RHD Mustang. Lots of discussion about this already in the UK and Aussie areas. Mustang is not alone in having the park brake and cup holders on the wrong side.

I had a hired Camaro in Florida and the parking brake was on the passenger side. My UK Alfa has the brake on the passenger side.

I have no idea why people are making such a fuss about this - the fact that we are getting RHD Mustangs at all is a miracle and I think for the vast majority of people who have ordered one it won't be a deal breaker. If it is then you never really wanted the car anyway and let's not pretend that something that is a minority production run can be dictated by the customers.

I notice that it mentions a spare wheel...I was under the impression the pp models only came with a plug kit and an electric pump...The spare supposedly didn't fit over the Brembo's.....maybe no Brembo's on it.

You're assuming it means space saver spare wheel (which wouldn't fit). It could very well be a full size spare.
