Reverse switch on manual shifter

This is pretty minor, but has anyone figured a way to keep the reverse lockout pullup from being so rattle-prone? It just seems weird that it is not tight on the shifter rod. I'd like it to fit snug.

Mine hasn't made a peep. The easiest way would be to switch to an aftermarket shifter like MGW that pushes down removing the collar completely.

Barton sells an aluminum lock out collar that has O rings built in to eliminate any rattle.
