Rev Match Downshift

Would you be interested in a real Rev Match Downshift module like the 2019+ mustangs?

Hello all, I am currently in the process of buying a new to me Mustang with the 6spd manual gearbox, I am personally wanting the Rev Match downshift that the 2019+ have but don't want the Auto-Blip as it just blips the throttle and does not calculate the needed revs and match them. I am thinking of creating a module that just plugs into OBD and ties into the throttle with a couple of taps like the Auto-Blip and does internal calculations to determine what RPM to rev to when it detects that the gear you put your car into is lower than it was prior and matches when you actually insert the shifter into the selected gear by (hopefully) using a magnet and some hall-effect sensors granted that there is enough room under the shifter (or under the car since its a remote shifter). Just trying to gauge some interest if anybody would be interested in this mod or not.

If I didn’t have the feature on my 2020 car, I’d definitely be interested. If you can pull that off and have it work properly, you could probably sell a ton of them.

That seems to me a pipe dream, some what. Have the feature, and have the experience of manual down shifting. The Rev match hits the mark perfectly.

Down shifting, and rev matching unassisted. Street driving is hit an miss at times. The reason unlike a closed corse the entrance to a curve is always un predictable .

So if I understand the concept. You want to RPM increased precisely to match the speed, as the shifter enters the gate, or in gear ?

Maybe you would be happier with a slush box (automatic)

I can say this, I love the feature. Once you get used to it, it works very well and is easy.

I love the rev match on the track, but since I have had it for most of my track experience, I never learned heal toe, and I wish I had. Having said that if I was new to tracking a car and did not have it from the factory, I would be searching for a aftermarket thing to solve that problem.

To be honest, this is mainly because I drove a 2019 GT not too long ago and enjoy the feature and I could spin this off as a personal project for fun. I would rather a Manual than an automatic, my last 2 S550’s and 3 NewEdges were all manual if that says anything about my preference. I can usually blip the throttle just right for a downshift but again would like the novelty of this and as a project.
