It doesn't have that feature in the base trim, only the premium, so if your have a base car that woukd explain it. If you have a premium it a cool feature and it pretty obvious when it happens.
Ok that explains it...yes I have the base system w/PP.
Thanks...you saved me from looking all over creation for that feature!

The entire gauge cluster flashes red when you need to shift... Just look for the blaring red lights.
That happened today. I thought I broke something. I did a hard acceleration and I was going to change at 6500rpm, and as I shifted, the gauge flashed red. My gauge was in the ice blue color. It freaked me out. I thought I had gone over redline.

Now after reading this, I am so floored at how cool my car is.

The AT shifts at about 6700 RPM when left to its own devices, tach flashing bright red. So that's some guidance. Funny, the old Fox cars keeled over at about 4,800 RPM and were all done by 5,200, in stock form. No wonder the Coyote makes so much power. It has lungs like a pearl diver.
