First off, I didn't even know this was a thing until now. Does anyone here use them? www.gopurepower.com

Run away. A few years ago I worked at a company that made reusable oil filters for military applications. I did a lot of R&D to try and introduce an automotive application. I did tons of trials trying to find the perfect stainless steel mesh, bypass valve settings, and flow analysis. I bought several other competitors' filters (there are 4-5 other companies like Pure Power). I sent my filter and all of the competitors' filters (benchmarking) to a 3rd party test lab for ISO testing and guess what...... They all sucked. Mine was slightly better and IIRC Pure Power's was a close second. I did some tweaking and more ISO testing but after several rounds, I shelved the whole project. The $5 Fram filter had better efficiency and capacity.
