Admittedly this happened to my car at about 200 kms, when I first got it
it really grinded me, but Ive tried to forget about it, but now its really bothering me

especially this occured when doing a 3point turn and there was a concrete lump that would have only been 10-15cm on the road, and crunching sound was heart stopping

obviously, its only cosmetic and you can only see from under the car, but is there a way to polish it out without anyone noticing,

since its only a piece of plastic, fortunately I could replace it easily (but not sure how expensive)

Can't really repair because it has textured finish though you could try degrease it and hit is with spray bomb gravel guard is has a texture and dryies flat black. Cost under $20 if doesn't make you happy get a new lip may be a takeoff or aftermarket for $180-300.

Replacement is going to be your best option here.

The usual aftermarket suppliers have a range of them for sale, but not OEM. You could try contacting Herrod or Mustang Motorsport, they often have "take-off" parts, which are as new second-hand parts removed from their customer cars after an upgrade. Otherwise, it will be a Ford spare parts order, Jefferson Ford Parts would be the go.

Top side: there's not much you can do. The surface is pebbled, so any physical change will look different, anywhere. Some coatings could help hide issues. For minor blemishes, I've used CarPro Perl to make them less noticeable.

Front edge: I clipped the bottom of my front lip last season, something that changed the edge, making it seen when viewing at different angles. Holding a piece of 600-grit sandpaper at an angle, so I was modestly changing the edge itself (not top, or almost none), and using light pressure, I was able to blend everything to where I couldn't tell it'd happened.

Bottom side: Same day, same edge, I used 600-grit to smooth the underneath of that lip.

The scuffs in your photos though, they're pretty deep, and somewhat extensive. While mine has a flat plane/edge underneath, your's starts with that angle before going flat. I'm afraid any attempts to improve the areas will make things look akin to changing the top: you remove the obvious, but other tells will be left behind.

It looks like the problem is on the under side. I'd keep the splitter on the car, buy a new one and stow it. When it gets so bad you can't stand it, take the one you bought out of storage and replace. Or offer to the new owner if the car is ever sold.

I can appreciate how you and others may feel. My encounters with pavement thus far have been modest. I was scouting for new routes, putting through a new build site, when I encountered the attached. Milliseconds to check behind, milliseconds to swerve and smash on the brakes or I would have launched over it, the splitter and belly pan certainly becoming scraped, if not cracked into pieces or becoming ripped off.

thanks folks, yeah I was suspecting that

if it was a $300 part and I could DIY it would be a no brainer, but i suspect it will be $1000,

Not very happy as its council land and its been like that for years , and ive been told that in Aus we are technically eligible for the council to pay for damage due to their unkept roads, however the chances of sucess are like lotto
