I switched my controls on the dash to use "last settings" on the remote start settings so when I remote start my car, the AC will be on as well. It doesn't work though. Any ideas?

You should set it to auto if you want the AC to be always on.
Last setting meaning it will set to whatever was left off when you turn the car off. If you had it off before you turn the car off, it will not turn on.

I already have my AC "on" when I last turned the car off. Next time I try to "remote" start it, it won't turn on the AC until I manually press the start button on the car when I sit down in the drivers' seat. "Auto" didn't work for me either.

I don't remember if the dash lights would turn on but you are saying when you get in the car after remote starting, the hvac is not blowing cold air until you press the start button?

Exactly. I've tried auto and "last setting" each a few times. Not sure what the deal is. Its a base model car, but I dont think that's the issue. It is in my dash screen, so it should work.

Huh, I don't know how base model works because it does not have the "auto" mode that premium packages have.
Would be weird to even have that option in the dash to have "auto" if the climate control doesn't even have the function.
Is everything stock on your car?
I asked a friend of mine that has a base model with automatic, he said it would just turn on how you left it off. I find it strange that the dash would give you option to toggle between last setting or auto when you don't have automatic climate control.

True. Not sure why it even offers auto since I don't have auto climate control. Car is not stock, but "tuners" don't have access to this section of the software/hardware to my knowledge.

Well, I guess it works after all. Not sure why the LED lights don't illuminate when remote starting. I assumed since the LED lights were off, that the AC wasn't on. It does actually work after all, but takes maybe 5 seconds or so before the AC fans kick on.
