It appears that the upper and lower shroud are held together with plastic tabs moulded in to the upper shroud. Do I have to remove the steering wheel to get the entire shroud off or, is there a way to get the lower shroud without removing the steering wheel?

OK. If you ever have to remove the Lower Shroud on the Steering Column, remove the Steering Wheel and use a trim removal tool pressing in on the joint between the upper and lower shroud and it will come apart without damage.

Does it pop open fairly easily?
Or is this a Grip of Death situation leading to broken plastic.

Two more questions. Should I first push at the center point of the seam? And anything to know about the covers around the turn signals?
