I've done some searching and haven't found anything definitive. Do the premium mirror caps just pop off like the base caps(no signals). The only thread I have found is with the base mirrors. I've put a little effort into getting them off but do not want to break them. Thanks in advance.

Great, thanks! I'll just have to use a little more finesse.

Were you able to pop them off? I have been looking for something to show how its done so i can wrap them.

I was able to get them off. I plan on adding a step by step process with pictures to this thread. Might be able to get to it tonight but it's been a little chilly.

If you could possible make a video on how to remove them that would be great. I'm 23 and really don't want to risk breaking them off to paint them. People say it's easy but I haven't found a good grip point on where to start from

I'm going out in a bit to put the covers back on. I will take some photos and a video. It will be more of a how-to rather than actually removing them again. Because I used plastidip, removing them might ruin the finish and I don't feel like redoing them ;)

That's exactly what I plan on doing lol. I've bought plasti dip months back but just now got a decent temp to apply it to the mirror caps. I just want to remove them so I don't have to cover around the mirror it's self

So here is what I accomplished. Hopefully it is useful to someone.

Here is the backside of the cover to show where exactly the clips are. The pink arrows are the clips, the green arrows are the "guide" tabs, I believe. I can't see any way they physically hold the cover on.

I highlighted the tabs that hold the clips in place and the guide slots.

I started by popping out the clip in the bottom left corner. I inserted a plastic putty knife and gently pushed the knife down.

Then I moved to the bottom right corner above the signal and applied the same technique with the putty knife. Pry it up a bit, work it in, pry some more, etc.

When it was lose enough to get a decent grip, I grabbed the top and side and pulled up and out(back towards the hood) to get the right side free.

Then get a firm grip on the inside and outside of the cover and pull straight back. Try not to pull too much when freeing the outside of the mirror or the hook guide tabs will catch and break. I cracked one of them a bit, but as I said, I don't think they do any securing. I glued it back on, but the cover is solid as a rock.

Let me know if I can be of further assistance.
