the folks at Redtiger sent me their F17 dash cam on the condition that i post a review.
the unit and a hardwire kit arrived in excellent condition.
the installation was very straightforward. the kit included front and rear cams both of which have cameras facing both outside and inside the cabin.
the hardwire kit included everything needed to power the unit when the car is running and a separate power feed when the car is off. they included 2 fuse feeds for 3 different fuse sizes. an included volt display unit helps identify the acc power voltage and always on voltage during installation.
double sided adhesive secured the volt reader unit to painted metal near the fuse box by the passenger kick panel.
the cable was easy to route and hid nicely. i made sure to route the cable behind the a-pillar airbag.
a long usb-c cable connects the front cam to the rear cam. it looks long enough for sprinter van. i tucked the excess cable behind the c-pillar cover.
the cams come with double sided adhesive to grip clear electrostatic stickers applied to the glass.
the installation was a breeze thanks to excellent documentation and a thorough installation kit. it even included a plastic panel pry tool. i haven't used it enough to comment on the product itself but i will after i use it some.
