Has anyone heard anything definitive on the Redline Recaros..... seems like everyone is just guessing on this? I am planning to order them but not if the door panels and back seats are going to have the red leather inserts. I was under the impression it's just the red stitching.
Have you gone on the configurator? It clearly shows what's going on with the packages. Ebony Recaros have white stitching; redline Recaros have red stitching. This only affects front and back seats while the rest of the interior remains black. If you opt for redline Recaros AND tick off the premier trim thing, you get the red door cards. They look completely out of place as the only real red swathe I'm the interior. I've decided that if I get Recaros, I'll get them in ebony and spec the premier trim to get the upgraded materials. Poor color coordination on Ford's behalf IMO. Black Recaros with red inserts would have looked top tier.

I personally prefer the contrast stitching over a full red interior, I'm getting the recaro because I can't stand that coat hanger thing in the back of the headrest.

What you are saying is if I order the redline Recaros, the only way to get the upgraded material on the door is to also have red leather door inserts when there is no other red leather in the interior?

I agree that it looks out of place and I have been playing with different combinations in the configurator.... but can we be sure that is 100% accurate?

I would hope that this is just a glitch with the configurator and we get the Ebony Premier Trim doors with the Redline Recaros since the rest of the interior is Ebony leather.

Thanks Tricia. You're so nice
Crazymexican,

Awwww, thanks for the kind words.

This is strange news, the beijing model shows it with red steering wheel stitching and it looks amazing.

Here's a picture I took of a premier trim with red leather just last weekend (woodward dreamcruise booth) and it did not have any of this steering wheel stitching either.
There is still red on the dash, though. Looks like the shifter boot and console lid also keep the red. I can't tell but the e-brake looks all black to me. Infact the steering wheel stitching seems to be the only change from the beijing car.

So I guess the next question is: Does selecting redline Recaros give any red stitching to the door panels, dash, shifter boot, and console lid?
Well from what I've gathered, the Redline Recaro Option Only Gets the Red Stitching. There have been No Pictures of the Redline Recaro Interior other than the Front Seats. I tried building and pricing one on the Configurator and I couldn't tell the Difference between the Redline Recaros and the Ebony Recaros. I'm guessing the stitching will be Red on the Front and Back Seats, and the Door Inserts, as well as the Shift Boot, Console Lid/Arm Rest, and the I.P. Eyebrows like on the Premiere Trim Option. It makes Zero Sense for Ford to put a Big Bright Red Door Insert or Bright Red Rear Seats in a Car that has Black Front Seats with Only Red Stitching.

Your best assumption is that they are red inserts. Any talk about just getting red stitching has been hearsay and wishful thinking. Nothing official or written anywhere unless Brian has answered this in the Q&A thread by now.
Hey fellas!

When the Recaro seats are ordered the I/P, door trim, console lid, and shifter boot is black with red stitching.

So the supposed final build of Ford's S550 configurator is incorrect?

When you opt for the Redline Recaros on the builder, it clearly shows that all surfaces remain black, but the seats both front and back get red stitching. Opting for the 'premier trim with color accent' group clearly updates the interior with both the red dash stitching and the red door cards. That's a pretty big error if I say so myself, and you would think that the "premier" features would require the "premier" box ticked off. So what I'm being told right here seems backward.

I want the upgraded door card material and dash stitching. I wouldn't want to be mislead, if that's already coming with Recaros by default then we save about $400.

You can't get the Red Line Recaro's without getting the premier trim package. It's just an error in the builder allowing you to choose redline without it.

Is that confirmed in the order guide? Sounds like a glaring fault with the configurator tricking you into thinking that you can separate the two options.

Should give you one of those prompts stating "by selecting REDLINE RECAROS you must add so and so, do you wish to add so and so? +$395."

To clarify. Do you mean Red Line optioned Recaro's come with Red stitching on the I/P, Red Stitching on a black door trim, and the normal red stitching on the shifter boot and console lid?

Also, the back seats are still in question. Are they solid red panels or red stitching?

The configurator shows the changes: black surfaces with red stitching front and back when the redline Recaro option is selected. The back seats have two-tone red/black surfaces if the normal redline interior is selected.

When you select recaros you lose the premier redline package so I dont see the confusion. Premier redline is only on the standard leather seats. Recaro redline is seperate, and doesnt add any coloring to the leather. Only the stitching changes.

The pricing on either normal recaros or redline recaros shows the same on the configurator.

I see what you mean. TBH i'm not sure why the configurator differentiates between having the red door panels w/ 68B and only red stitching without. It could be possible they added a code to the order guide to allow this. But with the current OG redline isn't available w/out the 68B.

Premier Trim stays active the entire time on B&P whether your selecting Ebony, Redline, Recaro's or Redline Recaro's.

If you look at the order guide, Red Line recaro's is under the Premier Trim package

Have you bothered looking at the configurator to see what I'm talking about? I don't see how the confusion isn't present. It's now settled thanks to DS posting the OG below, showing that you need both options in place in order to have the redline Recaros in the first place. Basically, there must be an error in the configurator, because you can select redline Recaros which then changes just the front and back seats. In the configurator, when you select the premier trim after you select redline Recaros, the door cards then turn red and you can see the red dash stitching appear. Apparently this shouldn't happen; all of these changes should take place after ticking off the redline Recaro box at the bottom. That's where the confusion started.

Looks like you replied before I made my edit. But yes it's in the order guide.
