For the past few years, Ive been driving trucks and Jeeps and honestly, didnt worry about washing them except for every few months and cleaning the inside consisted of just getting trash out.

Now that I own my GT, I plan to wash it every other week ( black on black ) and need some suggestions as to what I should purchase to clean both the inside and outside with, as well as wheels and tires. The paint came with a Perma Plate wax job on it so I will reapply it but do need a good soap.

Any recommendations?

It all depends on how much you are willing to spend. I strongly recommend the two bucket method with grit guards in each bucket. There are tons of high quality soaps, Meguiars Gold Class is usually agreed upon as one of the best bargain ones. Adams makes a good high quality soap, personally right now I am using Chemical Guys Glossworkz and I like it. You can also look into getting a foam gun that attaches to the end of your hose, that would increase the amount of soap on the car and reduce the risk of scratches/swirls from the wash mitt. Always wash from the top down, and never wash or dry in circles, always straight lines.

For wheels and tires there are tons of products, as long as you stay with reputable high quality brands they will all do pretty much the same thing.

If you dont have some already, I would also suggest getting some new microfiber towels and at least two wash mitts (one for the car and one for the wheels) or some sort of wheel brush. Personally I picked up a battery operated leaf blower and use that to dry the car, then I follow up with some spray wax/spray sealant and a microfiber towel.

Good luck keeping the black car clean, you might find that you need to wash it more than every other week. I have the magnetic color and mine is usually ready for a wash after about 5-7 days and I only drive 20ish miles per day. check out ammonyc on youtube or junkman, they both have great videos on proper washing techniques

Like you I've been driving trucks and a Jeep for a while now, and while new at washing a nice car, I have done some research and found great reviews from many people for the following products. I use the two bucket method to wash our cars and some techniques show in the following video.

My dad always used Zaino on his cars and bought me some products when I bought this car. Great soap, haven't really used much else so it's hard to compare for me haha.

The polish on the other hand, I don't think I'll ever buy anything else.

I applied 3 coats about three weeks ago, the car has been rained on and driven in the rain twice. It's usually a bit dusty by now also but it looks like it was just washed still. I highly recommend his products and it comes with very detailed instructions on how to use everything. Pick up some of the "gloss enhancer" spray if you go with the polish, it gives a real deep 3D look to the whole car/paint. It's incredible.

The Grande Finale spray is also incredible.
