I'm 6'4" and 215lbs and the Recaros are the most comfortable seat I've sat in in a performance car. Yes, they are tight in the hips/thighs, but even after only 100 miles they broken in a bit.
When you say they have broken in, do you mean that the hip bolsters have softened or obtained some "flex" to them compared to new?

If you could elaborate it would be appreciated!

I think that's an accurate way to put it. After 15 minutes in the seats the bolsters have yielded to my hips and the tightness I felt when I got into the seats is gone.

Can anyone here comment on the difference between the Recaros in the Boss and those in the 350? There was a bit of discussion in the everyday driver video- but that's all that I've heard.

I've not been able to sit in a 350 with them and wondered about the difference. Currently the 17 that I have ordered has them, but since I'm going to have the car as a daily driver for quite a few years, I wanted to make sure they were as comfortable as those in the Boss, which make great daily driver seats.

I'm 5' 11" around 210.
I had a 13 boss and the seats are wider in the hip area. I'm 6'5" and 205 the Recaros in the 350 are too tight for me. The Recaros in the 13 boss were just right. Try before you buy. I passed up a MSRP deal last December because of the seats and paint work.

Keep in mind it's not really suede, its more of a faux suede and behaves like a cloth seat. It's breathable and doesn't hold temp like a leather seat. Based on your climate I'd be more concerned with the comfort of the Recaros instead of the lack of cooled seats. The AC is great in my car and cools everything down quickly. Why does it seem American cars always have better/stronger AC than foreign cars? Just an observation.

Lastly, if you're never going to see a track maybe the cooled seats are a more comfortable option for you and your intended use?

Are they more like the Focus ST seats? My wife had one of these for awhile and I thought they were tighter than the ones in the Boss.

OP went through exact same dilemma as yours ordering 17 and never sat in either seat. Originally went with Recaros but changed to leather for two reasons. One is I plan to drive mostly long trips and several posts here indicate less comfort in Recaros on long drives. Second is lack of reported adjustability of passenger seat, which if true might affect visualization for your passenger. If I was not planning on long tours and using the car for shorter trips and track would have gone with Recaros as I prefer cloth seats and less tech to screw up.

Great to hear that the suede is a breathable material; definitely agree that long term comfort is probably a greater concern after receiving everyone's feedback as opposed to having or not having cooled seats.

Certainly agree that the tech seats were more traditionally comfortable, I don't think if I gained another 50 lbs that they would become uncomfortable per se.

The Recaros right now feel comfortable, and as I am in the midst of losing weight (35lbs gone to date) I feel as though with time they will fit me even better.

I'm probably one of the oddballs that feel that AC is much too cold; I primarily drive with the windows down 95% of the time if it's nice out, as we don't really get hot enough weather the majority of the time to warrant AC.

Still leaning towards the Recaros at this point, especially since the fiancée actually preferred them comfort wise over the tech seats.

Same with me. Wish I could put my Boss Recaros in the 350. Went with the tech seats based on my planned usage of the car.

What series are you racing in?
AHHH! I will call you the Literalist. But, I will engage in your ingenous comment. I race in the SCCA amateur league and I am currently ranked 32nd in a field of 150 drivers across the nation. SIKE! LOL

I went from sitting in the B2 recaros to the tech seats and was underwhelmed.

Congrats! I think you are probably in the 1% of 1%, though. If I were going to be racing I would put better seats in the car than the Recaros.

Not sure what you mean by ingenous and sike. I'll assume they are just misspellings.

Dean do you mean to say you were not impressed or disappointed by the tech seats after owning a Boss 302 with Recaros???
