So, i need my first oil change, which is free, and I want to get the brake recall done, which ford tells me i need. My dealer though needs to 'inspect' my car to see if it needs the recall work done, on the day of my oil change, and then they will get the parts for another day.

This seems odd to me.

It's dumb, but that's the way Ford is rolling now it seems. With the brake pedals, they narrowed it down to select engineering numbers failing (which requires locating and reading the part sticker). Parts are becoming more available depending on where you live and how your dealer stocks parts.

At least it's not as bad as the 20N11 program is.

That does seem odd. I took my car in for something unrelated and they just did that and the camera recall.

My experience is they always want an inspection appointment followed by a do the work appointment. I know, really stupid.
