yeah, I'm not drunk officer I'm avoiding the potholes! No - I haven’t hit any large potholes regularly - my driving tends to be local so I’m fairly aware of where to potholes are & make a point of reporting them to the local authorities so they‘re duty bound to repair them within 7 days otherwise they become liable for any damage caused to cars.
The scenes roads here are great once you get away from the dreaded A9 - the North Coast 500 should be on everyone’s to do list but just be aware of the potholes and the sheep!
Aye been doing the North West Coast roads for a long time now, only done the NC500 fully once as tend to stay over Ullapool Durness / Garloch way. Some stunning roads and views up there Applecross is an adventure all by itself. Took the Mustang up there last year or year before, they merge into one these days lol. Potholes, sheep, deer and bloody camper vans!
