I got water in my right rear tail light and it stopped working. After looking at the crazy prices for the lamp assembly I was wondering if anyone had taken the tail lamp apart and replaced the L E D bulbs or other parts inside. I would appreciate nay help/ideas . Thanks,Bill

Most likely the circuit board is what failed or shorted. The LED itself is said to never go bad, it’s the actual circuitry that would fail before the LED.

Crazy prices, yes, if you try to buy directly from Ford retail...

The tails are all over eBay, where in many instances you can get both L and R side for $500+... and I’ve seen some as low as $150 each.

Check out the classifieds on here as well, there have been a few listings for reasonable amounts too.
