Rear diff options

So apparently the different ratios (3.15, 3.55, 3.73) will result in different acceleration/mpg/top speeds right?

Would I even be able to feel a difference between the acceleration?

I'm getting an Auto GT Premium so the performance pack 3.73 and the optional 3.55 are not available unfortunately.

It is noticable, not intensely though. I have a 13 GT/CS 6spd with the 373 gears and even in 6th gear running 65 mph, the rpm stays around 2k. In my 2010 GT500, it has the 331 gears and in 6th running 65 I'm running about 1600 rpm. I actually get better average mpg with the Shelby than I do with the GT/CS because of this, that is if I keep my right foot off the floor in the Shelby!!! :headbonk:

I'm not sure about that. The order guide says yes for the base GT but no for the GT premium auto. I think there may be a mistake in one of those. I hope you are correct.

I was trying to order my mustang yesterday and they told me no automatic premium with 3.55 rear because the order form said so.

Really? I ordered my GT Premium w/ auto trans the other day and I was able to add the 3.55 axle.

Yeah I think the table at the bottom of the order guide with the axle and trim compatibility is your best indicator. We all know there were more than a few typos in the order guide. :headbonk:

Well, I have a Manual Premium GT with the GT Performance Package on it in Ingot Silver ordered.
Those gear ratios, the higher the number is, the more torque that is being pushed to the tires.
