Hey guys! I haven't been on here since September of 2014. But I used to be on here everyday leading up to the cars release in 2014. I can't get back into my old account so here I am with a new name. It's great to be back!

Anyway, I'm having problems with my rear camera malfunctioning. It flickers and goes out while in reverse and lately hasn't even come on. Have any of you guys experienced this issue? My car is still under warranty but I am curious of what they would have to do to fix it.

I remember my 2014 GT had a similar issue with the reverse lights themselves. They wouldn't come on a lot when in reverse. I never did get it fixed as I traded it in within 1.5 years of purchasing it.

Give me your experience and feedback. Thanks!

I just dealt with the same issue. I included a message I would occasionally get as well. Dealership checked it out last week for me. They didn't find the issue but it hasn't happened since. Guessing it was a loose wire.
How many miles do you have on your car? The camera replacement is free if your under 36k.

I only got the Problem that the rear camera and parking sensors are not working when the car got really hot. Maybe somebody knows how that can be.

Once the car is cooled down, the camera + sensors are working fine again

I've had the issue where I'll put it in Reverse and the screen just goes black. It doesn't happen often so I can't really take it to get fixed since they'll just say they can't replicate it.

I'm having the same problems that you've all mentioned. At first it wasn't as frequent so I put it on the back burner thinking they wouldn't be able to replicate it but now it's so often that not only does it drive me nuts but they'll probably be able to replicate it.

Though with my luck it will work perfect as soon as I pull into the dealership. I should mention the parking sensors do still audibly work though but they're not much help by themselves.

I'm curious as to what the remedy would be. I wonder if it's a wiring issue in the transmission itself or the actual center stack.

I only have about 8,500 miles on my car. I'll definitely time out long before I'll "mile" out of the warranty.

I had this issue a few months ago. Dealer found bad wiring and rewired it, as well as replaced the camera unit. Haven't had any problems since.

I'm bringing in mine this Monday, it has gotten progressively worse. Dealer told me they will either replace camera or wiring harness.

Had the same issue. 25k. Camera would flicker and sometimes offer up the "fail" alert. They tried wiring, but ultimately replaced the camera. FYI, ensure they flash the new camera, otherwise the rear-view colored index and curved backup lines aren't available. Had to bring mine back. And yes, you can turn them off in settings, but settings cant turn them on, without having been properly flashed. Works fine now.

Ditto. Double check settings, but also might need to be re-flashed at dealer. They had to do mine after replacement.
