Hey guys, So I been having this creaking noise in the rear and apparently found out its coming from the driver rear brake, retightened it and lubricated everything and it went away. Then it came back after 50 miles of driving, so the performance shop told me Im gonna need a new brake assembly kit for it. Does anyone know where I can get one?

Your best bet is probably the dealer parts dept. You have stock rear brakes, right?

Is the car still under warranty? Did you do anything to the rear brakes that would give Ford a reason to deny warranty claim? If not, I'd take it to the dealer service dept. and tell them to fix it. What did the performance shop say was causing the issue specifically?

I haven't touched the brakes at all. I have all the suspension completely redone on the car. Only thing on the brakes is a 25mm spacer sitting on the rotor. I don't see how those would cause a infraction with the warranty on the brakes. What do you think?

I don't see how the suspension stuff would cause the issue, but then again I don't know what the issue is exactly. I'll let someone else with more knowledge chime in. I'd ask your guy at the performance shop what exactly was the issue with the brakes that was causing the noise.

I don't understand why you need a new kit, I had this with the handbrake on I could sit in the car move from side to side and it would creak like an old boat, the Same from a hill start too.I got the handbrake adjusted and it's been fine since.
