End of the road.

I'm the OP of this thread and I really do appreciate all of the responses and insights.

I haven't brought the topic of the Mustang up for the last couple of weeks at home. Over the weekend, my wife just happened to mention once again the "possibility" of selling/trading in the Subaru for the Mustang. At this point, I made the decision. Being that she's still so unsure that it's okay to go forward with the purchase, I'm saying no now.

Over the years, I've learned that if you ever have the slightest uncertainty whether you should move forward with any financial project, you should back away. That uncertain feeling is your common sense trying to get passed the desire, knowing full well that it's not the right thing to do.

So now, the possibility of not getiing our Mustang has now turned into a fact. You can't have everything you want in life. Just be thankful for the things you do have and above all, your health!

It's been interesting and entertaining being a member of this forum! For all you great people out there, thanks for all of your input, all of the information I learned about this great car and above all, enjoy your Mustangs! :usa:

Cheryl Crow said it best in her song Soak Up The Sun, "It's not having what you want. It's wanting what you've got." I applaud your decision.

Wait for us first-wave owners to take the massive hit on depreciation. There should be plenty of affordable S550s in good condition for you in the next few years.

You make too much sense! I can relate. On the other side of it....There is also the "regret" thing...down the road. Missing out on the fun you could have had.

The good guy on the one shoulder says..."wait...order a '16 model. The devil side says.." you idiot...you ARE not getting any younger. Every year counts. I could wake up DEAD tomorrow!!! :(
I can really relate to the "Good Guy" and "Devil" analogy. I'm still going through that battle!:)

But I really do think that if I had gone through with it, as soon as the Mustang would have arrived at home, I would have feelings of guilt for going against what I knew was the right thing to do and having surrendered to selfish desire. That's just me,,,.:shrug:;)

Yeah... I dont overthink things, wanted a Mustang bought a Mustang. I dont happen to believe all that cause and effect stuff though and over analyzing. I think the world is just energy, that the physical and material is fake, and that you shape your reality by your perceptions. I never worry and enjoy every minute, and the world gives me nothing to worry about. Heh thats probably way out of the stratosphere for most of you, but yeah I believe that.

Was the Dean's List in your reality while you were in school? No such thing as cause and effect... Physical things are fake... Your perception is reality... If you didn't hear the tree, it must not have fallen...
