A good comparison of Rapid Red (on the left) and Ruby Red. Rapid appears less "vibrant" than Ruby.....in photos at least. These two are in a UK showroom

Yea Ruby is more Maroon, and Rapid Red under certain light conditions comes across almost like a BMW Imola Red with metallic.
