You can buy a set of gt grills online fairly cheap. I would use a spare set to practice on.
Exactly. You can get a brand new GT grill upper for about $50 and a GT lower for about $70 on eBay if I remember correctly. I also found the exact mesh used for the "gothic style" grill from a vendor I use for business so I'm going to order a sheet (on the company tab) along with a new upper and lower GT grill (in case I fuck up, I'll still have my stock grill as a back up). My business also gets a fair amount of powder coating done so I'll have the mesh powder coated in matte black for a measly $7.50. Should save me quite a few sheckles and if all goes well, it'll look identical.

Another option for folks who wish to keep the mustang but open up the flow a bit more is to just take a belt sander to the backside of the grill until the blocked off holes open up. I did this so it still looks stock but has better flow. I'm sure it's adequate from the factory but I like knowing it's getting better cooling. Not to mention a pack of belts for the sander is only $11.

Can anyone get the mesh?

Wanted to resurrect this thread, asking if anyone has photos of 2018+ Mustangs with RaceMesh grilles installed.

I'm interested especially in the lower grille appearance, and the different material / color choices. Gothic seems to be what is often selected, but I'm leaning more towards Standard weave, as the air flow will be less restricted. (BTW...I have Custom Car Grilles honeycomb material for my heat extractor louvers and I'm not confident about that material's stone or small object impact resistance)

Anyway, all postings of Racemesh photos with 2018+ Mustangs will be greatly appreciated regardless of color and material.
