Overall, I would say that the "red mustang" thing hasn't really been a problem for me. I have to admit though that being a middle aged white guy probably has helped with that.

I ordered Race Red... I like the bright colors. My 2010 is Grabber Blue. I would have ordered it again if the offered it. I like orange but being a Sooner and with rivals Oklahoma State and Texas can't own orange. Lol

Race Red is much more "red" than Torch Red, which I have had in the past. That one is about halfway to Competition Orange! But if you want RED, there's nothing like Porsche Guards Red.

I like the race red but my wife hates red and she already isn't too happy about agreeing to a car we don't really "need". Gotta have some kind of balance or I might be sleeping in the stang or truck lol. I had a red and white customized 84 S-10 when I was a teenager. Loved the way the reflections and sun looked when I had a thick coat of wax on it like someone mentioned earlier.

I wished they would of made grabber blue an option but I'm going magnetic since it kind of reminds me of DSG and I always liked that color.

I ordered a race red GT! Here are my reasons:

- White: I am not a big fan of the white that the new mustang offers.
- Black: Love it but had a black car in the past and hard to keep it clean.
- Orange: Not my style.
- Yellow: Not my style.
- Ruby Red: It is a very good color, more sophisticated but feels like it is better suited for an older audience.
- Silver: I like silver but Silver looks good/amazing more on Luxury cars for most part + had a silver car in the past.
- Blue: Believe it or not, Blue is my favorite color. 9/10 of my dress shirts are blue. Was very close to order a blue one but I feel like it suits only a couple cars the most. (sti, e46 m3 and etc)
- Magnetic: Another awesome color that I was so close getting it but...I had a magnetic-similar color before on my x car and got bored with it.
- Guard: Ya'll might hate me, but this is my least favorite color :gossip:

Now comes the RACE RED: To me it's the signature color for the new Mustang. Red is screaming Sporty, it is an iconic color for a sports car. It looks brilliant. The curves and lines look a lot better with Race Red. There is a reason why Ford started marketing the Mustang in Race Red in it it's initial reveals. Even in the Need for Speed movie, they picked the race red which looked brilliant. I would never pick race red if it was for a 2014 Stang. But it looks amazing on the 15 Stang. Plus I fell in love with the new Stang after I saw it in Race red.
- Last but not the least: My 06 Cbr 600rr is red, my surface pro type cover is red and the banner of the mustang here on the forum is a Race Red Ahahaha

Great minds think alike. I ordered my 2015 Mustang Convertible in Race Red too. There was no other second choice for me either. Not happy about Ebony Black being the only cloth fabric interior color. Why they dropped "Stone" is a mystery. My last Mustang Convertible I ordered new was back in 1994 when that new series was launched. Guess what the color choice was? Rio Red, close to Race Red.

It sucks, too, since people's boring tastes result in mostly boring options, even with sports cars. I wish there were more bright greens, purples, oranges, etc available.

I'm thinking of starting a political party to promote this agenda. WHO'S WITH ME!?

I agree, I personally like a Metallic Black but its far too difficult to keep clean and it shows brush and swirl marks from waxing and car washing. Certain color White`s looks good too but a rich cream colored (off white) not Fords favorite utility "Oxford White" which only belongs on a Truck or Fleet vehicle. Grey, Silver, meh. Just another bland non-descript color lost in a sea of mediocrity. Boooooring.

I have a RR F150, and had every intention of going that way with the Mustang....but when I saw Magnetic, the choice was obvious.

Planning on getting Ruby Red, but I'm 52. "Arrest me Red" is a distant 4th or 5th choice after RR, DIB, Guard, and maybe Magnetic. Still waiting to see more colors in person, especially all together. Favorite Mustang color is still 1967's Dark Moss Green, I miss my 390GTA Fastback in that awesome color!

I have a RR '05 GT. I had planned on Guard or Magnetic until yesterday at the dealer I looked at a RR V6, absolutely stunning. I told him once he gets the RR EB I better be the 1st person he calls.
