I think race red is quite "orangey" anyway which is why I went for ruby red...

Don't get him started on stuff like that; he's only just got his puddle lights working!
lol!
Why are they even called puddle lights?
And before any clever dick comes back with 'because they shine up the pavement so you dont thread in puddles' they dont!
They move with the opening car door so by the time you step out the car, they are not shining on potential puddles you couls step in. Trust me, I have proved it!

Cos they throw a "puddle" of light onto the ground beside your car...

Who "Threads" puddles?

It's because they let down a 'puddle of light' onto the floor in the shape of the mustang logo.

As long as no one thinks you are making a political statement by having an orange car!

Don't be disappointed if your colour is locked in. Race red looks great and is very Mustang.
Never even thought about that, Orange works for both ways though

I would have to say stick with RR - its the classic Mustang colour and as others have said, it does look great. That's my vote anyway :)
I know, I saw RR on a Focus ST and it looks amazing. The thing is that I currently have a Tornado Red Golf which looks similar so I'm thinking that I might go for something a bit different.

My last car was Race Red and it looked orange in certain lights. I liked it a lot but wanted something different with the Mustang and got CO. I hemmed and hawed quite a bit about getting it because my wife has an orange Dodge. My grand daughter insists that my Mustang is red. Parked next to the wife's Header Orange my Competition Orange does look red.

Anyways I am thrilled with the color, it looks good in any light.

Ok so I have a GT ordered in Race Red, but recently I have been thinking about changing it to Competition Orange as I currently have a red car and thought that it would be nice to have a different colour. Also the other 3 cars ordered from my dealer that I know of are all RR and I would like to have something different.

As CO is difficult to photograph I don't have a good idea of what it actually looks like. Can the people on here that have a CO mustang give me an idea of what shade it is as it looks different in every picture.

Do you guys think that I should change? All help will be appreciated.
hi norn. i've seen both in the US last month. both are nice. the race red is a fire engine red. the CO is not a really bright orange but a bit subdued. looks really good with a black roof and or stripes and black wheels. i think if you want to be different then the CO is the way to go. RR will be mainstream, prob better resale but who the hell would ever sell their stang!!

After seeing the CO last week I was well impressed.I think it looks great with the stripe, the yellow with the stripe looks great also.
Funny that these colours I considered to be cheap looking in the beginning, but they are seriously Mustang.Yet to see the Guard, the colour I initially ordered before changing to black because they told me guard was not an option???

I'm afraid this thread was a waste of time as I got an email back to say
Your vehicle has been locked into the system therefore you are unable to change the spec of the vehicle.
Race Red it is then, I love the colour so I'm happy enough. At the end of the day it's a Mustang so it's going to look great in any colour.

It'll be superb. RR was my second choice at order time, if they'd sold out of Magnetics ;)

It would be impossible to pick a bad colour however...
