You stated "I will then purchase the car and sell it to them at MSRP once the car has been titled and is owned by me." Just going off what you said.

If you can't sell it and it's Shadow Black, Black Stripes, and Tech Pacage, let me know.
Still not seeing the confusion, but I don't think I will have any issue selling. Thanks.

I believe that as soon as the dealer understands that you're just flipping it without even technically buying it - they will do their best to sell it to someone else at a higher price.
Exactly ...Im mean the dealer is trying to do you right by not charging you a excessive mark up, and for you to turn around and try to get a friend to buy it for a 5K add on is not right in my book ...........either buy the car and enjoy it, or "pass it on" to someone else......karma is a bitch..you may buy it and loss money on it... IMO:cheers:

it is absurd for anyone to tell someone else what to do in this scenario]
Well, first off you came in and asked what to do (this is an enthusiast forum where members have been helping each other out by passing on good deals). So to come on here to and advertise what you are doing and drum up interest in your auction, many will think that is in very poor taste given the over all car enthusiast culture.

Lets say I buy this car for $72K, sell it for $80K, somebody is getting a hell of a deal based on what dealerships are charging, then I am also getting my regular GT350 at $8K off MSRP. Win/Win in my eyes.
It's really only a win win for you. Im sure most could stomach a 1-2k finders fee from one enthusiast to another for the time you invested in securing the deal, but to hope for 8-25k+ over you aren't doing anyone any favors (based on your first post of your net GT350 cost coming down to 30k if you flip the R)

I'm sure all this flipping for profit could easily be avoided by Ford/Dealership having everyone sign a "I'm not going to sell it for a profit within __ years".

Is there a reason why they don't do that? I'm sure it would certainly free up a not-insignificant amount of GT350's.

I doubt you will lose money. But I agree with others.
Your not the first to do this, but folks on here
become a bit of a community and the Idea of a forum
is to learn stuff and help others out.
You trying to make a buck don't sit right with me.
As the saying goes, "it takes all kinds"

It's my understanding this will be the case with the 2017 GT.

Not sure what you mean. I am buying the car. My intent is to allow someone to pay to have it built to their specs. They will obviously pay enough that I am confident they will follow thru and it will be non-refundable.

I will then purchase the car and sell it to them at MSRP once the car has been titled and is owned by me. Fortunately my spouse is an attorney and will take care of the agreement's language. It really isn't that difficult.

In the end, an "enthusiast" will get the R exactly the way they want it. It is a win/win situation.
Let me make sure I understand what you are wanting to do.
You want to sell to someone your allocation that you are going to allow them to order the way they want it. The allocation will be in your name and you will take delivery of it and then sell it to the other party once it arrives. How are you going to pay for it when it arrives? In your state will it be taxed when it goes in your name? Then taxed again when you sell it to another party? How much will that be?

Wait, so you're going to get a car for 5k adm, and openly admitted it on the forum... and want somebody to pay you more than what you're paying? I hope you get stabbed in a dark alley. It'd be one thing if you were smart enough to get this done without having to get help online, but you've obviously got more money than brains. Don't brag about being shitty, it just lets people know how much of a scumbag you actually are.

That is precisely what I am wanting to do. I have to pay sales tax(capped at $300) and if the buyer is out of state, they will have to pay sales tax as well. Additionally, I will have to pay property tax, but that is pro-rated, so not as much of a factor.

So, I noticed in your signature that you don't have a Shelby listed. Does this mean you are interested?

Regardless if the new purchaser is from out of state or from within South Carolina the new purchaser will have to pay sales tax again when they purchase and register this car.

Personal property tax for this vehicle is not applicable unless you plan on registering and licensing the car and see no reason for that.

Anyone going the direction that you are heading would not even bother titling the car but then again you seem to have it all figured out.

Dude just tell us where you are getting the car from so someone with a good heart can buy it.

At ADM plus 5k, I would pay cash tomorrow for an R.
