Im just being proactive on what is available for the non Rs. and thinking of going for a wider set up.
Will 305/30/19 and 325/30/19 fit on the OEM rims?
Keep in mind, I DO NOT track my car

I ask because it looks like theirs at least 8 different prices but I only included the 4 street tire set ups and not the track/competition set ups (price are 4 tires):
Hankook $1017
Continental $1224
Bridgestone $1343
Michelin SS $1547

I would stick with the stock rubber if I were you. You can't beat pilot ss in the high performance summer category. The contis are better in the wet but for dry traction, the pilot super sports are THE BEST summer tires you can buy period. It's not like there bad in the wet, the contis are just a little better. If your not tracking I would definitely stick with the oem sizes, this car grips extremely well, but if you do go wider, no doubt I would still choose the michelins

325's will fit fine on an 11" wheel but that's about as wide as you want to go.

It's a little wonky but I have 305/30-19's all the way around on my factory wheels right now. Yes, on a 10.5 front, 11 rear. R-S3 v2's. The half inch deviation is hardly a deal breaker if noticeable.

What specific models are you looking at?

A 30 series tire is what I'm looking at next in the stock width. In fact, it will ultimately drop your gear ratio to that of the R and you'll be a hair faster.

PSS is as good as the Conti DW in the wet and way better in the dry.
NO

Not even close, PSS are a class above on dry roads, but in real rainfall there is no comparison. I have had to drop under 55 in severe rain on PSS that the Contis just plow right through.

damp roads, maybe, temperature matters a bit, for any road with standing water, or significant rain it isn't even a competition.

it depends on how significant the rain is within your area, and the probability the road collects water.

initial bite, turn in, and hard acceleration suffer with the contis, but the biggest downside I have seen so far is balance and stability over 100. It really depends on how hard you drive on the street. there is zero probability I would ever run them on a track without puddles.

I like the contis for street only, but even at 325/305 they perform under the smaller PSS when dry and warm, and at the limit its not close. For DD however they are fine and look to last for a long time.

I first thought I had a issue with the car as the traction control was coming on all the time, I just needed to realize even with the 325s I cant drop the hammer above 4-5k and expect it to behave in 1-3 gears.

try stock first. For street driving, they are too wide if anything, the front tires will hammer on you on bad pavement where the tires tramline and hunt. Rear tires are pretty hard in <80F temps, but thats good for wear, and have plenty of grip once warmed up.

For the track, well... I'd be interested in proper slicks in stock widths before playing with more width.

They take heat well and are certainly stickier than the MPSS's for autocross. I'd say it would be relatively evenly matched on a road course. I've only had them on autocross so far but several events Track day Aug 25th. Note that the widest they come in are 305/30-19.

Thanks for the response everyone, much appreciated.
From what I have read, I really cant go wrong with any brand and the width of the tires should be okay.

Personally, I can't go back to anything less than MPSS's. I had DW's on my last car and they were a great DD tire but performance wise, I just can't do it again. I'm going to burn up my RS3's this year and into next year, mount my MPSS's back on the stock wheels, get a set of dedicated wheels, most likely 19x11 and 305/30-19's square, or 19x11 305/30-19 and 19x12 325/30-19 and go with R888's autocross and road course.

Where did you draw that conclusion from lol.. everyone who responded recommended to stay with the stock widths, and the PSS were definitely the overwhelming favorite, for dry grip/traction. The Hankook are close as far as dry grip, but will not last as long. If you go back and look over the responses I'm sure you'll agree
